You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious. But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious people; open your mouth and eat what I give you.”

– Ezekiel 2:7-8 (NIV)

Today’s commentary
by Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor, GraceNYC.org

Ezekiel lived in a time when the word of God contrasted what the culture at large valued. Just like that time, we need to live and speak the words of the Bible even if those around us call those words repressive or even bigoted. May God raise up men and women who, like Ezekiel, are willing to please God more than men.
