One of the things that have turned people away from the church is our obsession with all of the wrong issues. It sends the wrong message to our communities when we are more concerned about carpet colors in the sanctuary than the injustices that are a part of daily life outside of the church walls. This doesn’t mean that carpet is not important, but what things are we neglecting that are important to God while we are blinded by our own agendas and comforts?
