When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things. – Mark 6:34

Notice that Jesus wasn’t amazed or impressed with the crowd. He saw a great need. Whereas there is nothing wrong in itself with large numbers or big buildings, this passage implies that there are other things to look for when it comes to spiritual health or success. Jesus wasn’t angry with the large crowd, but compassionate, and began to train them in His ways. Don’t hide in a crowd! Allow the Great Shepherd to teach you through the Scripture to walk in His ways.
