Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. – 1 Peter 1:8-9 (NIV)
One of the great miracles that we take for granted is that we express a relationship with a God that we have not seen with our physical eyes. For those of us who follow Jesus Christ, we know and believe in an invisible deity with a name, a personality, and an agenda. And what is the result? Joy – inexpressible and glorious joy. When a person turns to the Lord, they immediately realize that they have aligned themselves with all of creation. A love for God and His creation is released that captures our hearts and minds in this life and assures us of the life to come.
