Notice that the apostle Paul tells the Ephesian Gentiles that, apart from Christ, they have no hope and are without God in the world. Paul was convinced that in their Greek world of many gods, Jesus Christ was the only way into the covenant of promise with God. The same is true today. Just like ancient Ephesus, there are many voices that tell us to follow other paths toward God, but Jesus is God’s path to us—there never has been and never will be another.
