These words came from Gamaliel, a famous teacher who was mentoring a young rabbi named Saul of Tarsus. His insights about the apostles still speak to us today. We can get concerned about the future of Christianity in the light of recent developments, but Gamaliel reminds us that what is from God will overcome any obstacle. There is nothing to fear about the future of the faith because Jesus is alive. Even wise Gamaliel had no idea of what God was about to do when Saul of Taursus would become the apostle Paul.
