Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

– Ephesians 4:14 (NIV)

There is a great need for leaders in the church, for there are still too many believers who are blown about by every wind of teaching. When you hear of something new, beware, for there is nothing new under the sun. If someone talks about a teaching from the scripture that has never been taught before, be on guard, for a quick look at church history has shown that most of these “new teachings” are really not in line with a historic faith, and have caused many Christians to be tossed back and forth with the waves of instability. The church is not built upon the flash of novelty, but the bedrock of an ancient faith that has stood the test of time.
