When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” – Luke 24:30-32

So many times we are in the midst of a supernatural event and we are not aware of it until afterwards. It’s almost as if God allows us to go along in our natural state, then He opens our eyes just in time to disappear again. Yet one thing remains – a passion for Jesus and His ways. One of the signs of an encounter with Christ is a burning heart and an understanding of Scripture. The Bible of God comes alive to us when we know the God of the Bible.
