The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.

– Exodus 3:7 (NIV)

Today’s commentary
by Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor,, Author of Making Sense of the Bible

God cares about our circumstances. He is not a distant, hands off type of being who doesn’t hear nor care about what you or I face. God is actually away of every hair on our head, and he cares about the things that we suffer. The story of Moses is a story for all of us, for we all have situations that plague us for long periods of time. But God’s silence does not mean that he has abandoned us; for God is raising up solutions to our pain—though it may take some time.
