So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” – Hebrews 13:6 (NIV)

One of the great themes of Scripture is that we are not alone. Time and time again the Lord intervened in the affairs of men to reveal Himself and to deliver His people. Yet the day to day problems that we face can cause us to forget the God who is there. This passage reminds us to realign our perspective to the God who said that He would never leave us or forsake us. When we are able to see the God who helps us through the good and bad things around us, we can say with the writer of Hebrews, “What can man do to me?”
