May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.

– Proverbs 5:18 (NIV)

Today’s commentary

The Bible places a high premium on faithfulness to marriage. But the goal of a long marriage is not survival—it’s joy. In marriage two people go through the seasons of life together and, over the years, become vulnerable and ultimately accepting of each other. There is no amount of money that can replace that. If you know of an older couple that you can say, “They are blessed!”, give them a shout out in the comments.
