LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.

– Psalm 8:1 (NIV)

Today’s commentary
by Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor, GraceNYC.org

When we get the implication of this Psalm, we see that God is trying to get our attention through his creation. There is a reason that we feel a sense of peace at a sunset, a sense of wonder at a thunderstorm, or even fear when we get too close to a wild animal. All of these external experiences are a shadow, even a guide, to what we will experience when this earth ends and a new heaven and earth begin. God has set His glory everywhere that we look.
