Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

– Luke 23:34 (NIV)

Today’s commentary
by Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor,

When we look at the core of Christianity we have to look at the cross, where Jesus died for the sins of mankind. Yet when we look to the cross, we also see that Jesus died for those who disagreed with Him. As followers of Christ, you and I are charged to pray for those who see things differently, who may abuse us for their own benefit. In a sense, Christianity allows those to disagree to flourish, for our Savior is still praying for those who do not know what they are doing.
