I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. – Philippians 1:20 (NIV)
Written from a jail cell, Paul is not sure if he will live or die, but he is confident that Christ will be exalted, no matter what the outcome. We all face fears that our lives will not amount to much or will be a source of shame, but Paul gives us hope. If Christ can be exalted in a 1st Century prison, then what about our lives today? Take courage, for the expectation and hope from Scripture is that He can use your circumstances for His glory.
