Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

I have often heard the prayer, “Humble me, Lord,” but that is not the best way to approach humility. The Scripture tells us to humble ourselves before the Lord. This means that we are to have a posture that we don’t know it all and we carry many flaws, but we are loved by God and have access to the power of the Holy Spirit in everything that we do. This attitude will not only help us in the times of setback, but keep us centered in the times of success.
