The word “guarantee” was a business term used to denote a deposit, or a security, that bound the person to carry through with their word or obligation. God was bringing a new covenant, or binding agreement, to humanity, and Jesus Christ is the One giving us the details of that new agreement. God came to earth as a man in Jesus Christ, so that men and women can come back to God through faith in Jesus and His resurrection. God himself guarantees this.
