Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

– Galatians 6:1-2 (NIV)

Today’s commentary
by Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor, GraceNYC.org

When we are faced with the disappointment of moral failure, it is good to remember that we are prone to everything that another human can do. When we realize this, we can decide to carry the burden of another’s weakness instead of criticizing them. We can deal with the sin while we don’t condemn the sinner.
