Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus,

One of the things that the Bible cannot be accused of is making its main characters look perfect. If anything, the flaws in the men and women in the Scripture are shockingly revealed. But this should give us hope, for if God can use apostles who argue with each other, then God can use people like you and I.
