And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. – 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV)
Our journey with God doesn’t end with salvation – that is just the beginning. The Holy Spirit was sent to transform us into the image of the Lord, and this passage gives us insight into one way God changes our lives – by seeing His glory. The original Greek implies that we change like one gazing into a mirror. The more that we gaze at Christ, the more the Spirit changes us. When we look at the beauty of the Lord in prayer and the scripture, that beauty is reflected to others. This is the journey that Christ calls us to.
