And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ – Matthew 6:13 (NIV)

We live in a broken world and Jesus acknowledges this in the Lord’s Prayer. When we come to God in prayer we acknowledge that we don’t have control over the day ahead of us. We need God to lead us away from the traps of the soul. On top of that, we also need to be rescued from the ravages that Satan has already inflicted upon us. We are a people in need of protection in the future and healing from the past. To pray God’s way becomes the front line in our battle against the sin in us and in the world.
